2. What do I get when I claim a patch?
Your business gets its own square within the Tapestry, featuring your logo and a clickable link to your website or social media.
Your patch becomes part of the overall artwork alongside other British businesses.
3. How much does it cost?
It's £10 as a one-off payment to join the Tapestry. There are no subscription payments or membership tiers under this offer.
4. Is it a subscription?
No. The £10 is a one-off payment, not a monthly or annual subscription.
5. How long will my patch stay on the Tapestry?
The intention is for your patch to remain part of the Tapestry as it grows. Please check the site's terms for the exact conditions, including what happens if a business closes or the project changes.
6. Can I change my details later?
Yes. If your logo, website or social media details change, get in touch so we can update your patch and keep your information accurate.
7. How will people find my business?
Visitors can browse the Tapestry and click on logos that catch their eye. Each patch gives them a direct route to that business's website or social media.
The Tapestry gives people another way to discover your business, although we can't guarantee a particular number of visits, enquiries or sales.
8. Are there rankings or paid placements?
No. The Tapestry isn't built around ranking businesses from best to worst or selling top positions. Each business has its own patch within the artwork.
9. Who can join?
The Tapestry is for British businesses of all sizes, from people running a business on their own to established companies. If you're proud of what you do and want your business to be part of the collection, we'd love you to consider joining.
10. Why is it only £10?
I wanted joining to be affordable for businesses of different sizes, including small independents that have to watch every penny.
The aim is to bring lots of businesses together and grow the Tapestry over time, rather than make joining an expensive commitment.
11. What makes the Tapestry different from a directory?
Instead of browsing categories or comparing rankings, you explore a piece of digital artwork made up of business logos. Click a patch and you'll be taken directly to that business.
It's a visual way to bring businesses together, and the artwork grows as more join.
12. When will my patch go live?
Your patch will normally be added shortly after you submit your details. We'll need the information and logo required to create it, so please allow a little time for everything to be checked and added.
13. Can I have more than one patch?
At the moment, each business has one patch. This helps us give businesses a consistent place in the artwork as the Tapestry grows.
14. What if I don't have a website?
You can still join. Your patch can link to a suitable social media page instead, so visitors have somewhere to go to find out more about your business.
15. Is it just for local businesses?
No. The Tapestry brings together businesses from across the UK, not just one town or region. Wherever your British business is based, you can be part of the wider collection, subject to the joining criteria.
